The Institute for Family Medicine deals with issues relating to family medical care and conducts research: From practice – for practice. Our laboratory is the practice. We research practical issues, ranging from small, self-financed projects to international multicenter studies.
The aim of the research is to scientifically evaluate the work of family doctors and identify strategies for optimization. Epidemiological methods are used for this purpose. Our findings are intended to support family doctors in implementing evidence-based medicine for their patients. Patient-centered care in family practices is a high priority in all of the institute's research projects.
