Together with the various clinics and institutes at Bonn University Hospital, the different GKUs teach practical content. The GKU General Medicine is a course for students in their first and second clinical semesters, held in the SkillsLab or teaching building of the student council on the Venusberg Campus. The Institute for Family Medicine is responsible for the topics of check-ups and visual diagnosis, and extensive teaching materials on these topics are available on eCampus. Participation is confirmed in the logbook.
The focus of this course is on practical examination. Under the supervision of an experienced physician, students perform all examination procedures that are standard in general practice. The GKU General Medicine course takes place in fixed small groups on Fridays from 2 to 4 p.m.
Please bring: lab coat, stethoscope, reflex hammer, and possibly a name tag and documents (SOAP format).
